IDP Session on Aqua Aerobics for Staff & Students

Aqua aerobics is a structured form of physical exercise performed in water, integrating both resistance training and cardiovascular workouts. This activity is particularly beneficial for individuals of all fitness levels as it provides a low-impact yet effective workout environment. The present report discusses the organization, objectives, participation, and outcomes of an aqua aerobics session conducted on July 3, 2024, for undergraduate female students at the hostel swimming pool.

The session aimed to promote physical health, foster team bonding, and alleviate stress among participants. Regular physical activity is crucial for maintaining overall health and well-being. Aqua aerobics, as a form of water-based exercise, offers numerous physiological and psychological benefits, including enhanced cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, and stress reduction. Given the increasing academic pressures faced by students, incorporating physical activities such as aqua aerobics can contribute significantly to their mental and physical well-being. This session was conceptualized with the intention of offering an engaging and effective exercise regimen while simultaneously fostering a sense of camaraderie among students. This event Coordinated by Mrs. Shweta Chugh (Dietian & Yoga Instructor).
